Flip It AND Reverse It 🤸‍♀️

WW love a good flip and reverse. They will use anything they can from crocodile tears to quotes from Black leaders to place themselves back on that pedestal.

I saw a post by the Uppity Negress that made me sick. It was about a WW's response to her opinion on Taylor Swift's music. After the shock from the audacity wore off, I remembered my piece Why You’re Still a “Swiftie”.

Specifically the last line:

you’re still a “Swiftie” because you love not being held accountable for your actions and hope that with very little change to your harmful behavior you’ll be given the same handclaps she receives.

It also brought up the same emotions I felt when I saw:

Please for the love of all that is good, leave Black people, especially Black women, alone. We do not need quotes from Black leaders shared with us and we definitely don't need recounts of the harm you've caused Black women, because we get it daily. We understand this pain on a level you never will. Accept this, act accordingly and use all those big emotions (this includes the tears y'all love so much) to defend us instead.
