This aint about her. This is about a country full of folks salivating over any opportunity to be proudly anti-Black.

People who believe in anti-Blackness aren't always able to tout their beliefs proudly and loudly. Most wait in the shadows for seemingly "justified opportunities". When these opportunities arise they run quickly to them and are loud about why Black people deserve to be dehumanized and more. Ryan Ken (@ryan_ken_acts) made a really good video of White people's reaction to Will Smith's slap and how they fantasized of an opportunity to double down on their disdain for us. I can't find it but if you do please send it to me.

Dash Harris (@diasporadash) covers how insidious anti-Blackness is and how it appears in other communities. These communities aren't often "loud" or overt in their anti-Blackness but when presented with opportunity to step on Black people they will gladly take it. We see this happening in real time.

This is also why these communities love the BIPOC umbrella and the racism umbrella. It gives them shade they require to murder Black people. Believing in anti-Blackness is a commitment that they are uninterested in being disloyal to.

If I'm honest, through this season I made sure not to get my hopes up because honestly, we're still shocked when police officers get convicted after murdering people and it's 2024. Anti-Blackness is the reason people are being slaughtered worldwide. Anti-Blackness is how this all stays the same and what keeps us all in line.
