My favorite pastime is sending White women my link for them to pay me to answer their "genuine" questions and getting absolutely no response. 🙃
It's been a hot minute since one of my LinkedIn posts has broken out of the shadow ban but yesterday my post reached White people. I completely forgot when this happens that most, White women especially, expect silver platters. Even with my post outlining all my other work available for better understanding they want Black whistle-walked, silver spoon-fed, room temperature scoops of comforting White assurance, a delicacy I'm honestly only willing to serve at $10,000/hr.
Last week, Pharoah Faquan Ahmed Bolding (He/Him) posted a similar interaction he had. Pro-tip: if your sincerity or genuity need announcement then it's probably not present. I promised myself the same promise I made y'all when I published Your Last Black Freebie: not to undervalue my work anymore. How is it that only White people ask questions like this on my work while Black women only ever affirm or support my work? Guess we'll never know.
